The lottery registration window for Merrol Hyde Magnet School and Union STEAM & Demonstration School is now open for the 2025-2026 school year.
Parents interested in applying must create a SchoolMint account and complete the online application. Required documents include a copy of the parent's driver's license and two proofs of residency. Students applying for Kindergarten or coming from private schools must also upload an official birth certificate. Additionally, students applying to Merrol Hyde for 6th-12th grades will need transcripts from the past two full school years.
All students applying to Merrol Hyde must take a qualifying test. The testing fee is $30 per student. Applications for both Merrol Hyde and Union close on Dec. 8th. The lottery will be held on April 1st.
